Painted with a dramatic and worn mint green paint. These were originally used by officers of the British Indian Army to carry their kit and personal possessions whilst on tour. This example dates from the 19th century and is constructed from teak with brass corners and handles. The top opens to reveal a compartmentalised letter rack over a large interior space. On the
